Questions about learning with AI?

Learn how Scholar+ supports independent thinking with AI and includes guidance from a real Teacher.

Learning with AI

What learners do, what AI helps with, and where judgment still matters.

Will Scholar+ do my child's homework for them?
That isn't the learning approach Scholar+ is designed around. Scholar helps learners explore explanations, test ideas, and strengthen the work they understand and own. In our illustrative writing example, a learner questions an overconfident AI claim, considers another viewpoint, and revises the argument themselves. AI can still make mistakes; families and schools should set expectations for acceptable AI assistance.
How does Scholar+ help learners think independently?
Learners can start with a rough idea or an imperfect question. Scholar is designed to suggest useful next steps, encourage practice, and help them question what AI says while leaving room for their own decisions. The goal is not to keep a learner chatting indefinitely. It is to help them feel increasingly able to take the next step themselves.
What happens when AI gives a wrong or overconfident answer?
AI can be useful without being a guaranteed source of truth. Learners should examine surprising claims, look for evidence, and check important facts against reliable sources or a Teacher. Scholar+ is designed to encourage those habits, but no AI product can guarantee every answer will be correct. Our writing example deliberately questions the unsupported word “always.”
Is Scholar+ an AI literacy class?
Not as a standalone course. Scholar+ is a guided learning experience for real schoolwork, with a broader purpose: helping learners build practical habits for working with AI thoughtfully. These habits include questioning outputs, checking evidence, making decisions, and knowing when to seek human help—not memorizing AI terminology.

Real Teacher support

Human educational judgment is part of the membership, not an emergency fallback.

Why include a real Teacher if Scholar uses AI?
Teachers add educational judgment, context, and considered feedback. A Teacher may notice missing evidence, a counterargument, or a revision opportunity automated responses miss. For instance, in our illustrative example, the Teacher asks the learner to address transportation and after-school schedules. Read about +Teacher.
What counts as a Teacher interaction?
One focused question or feedback on an assignment or paper can count as an interaction. Clarifying follow-ups follow the published service policy. See Pricing and Teacher interactions for the current monthly allowance and terms.
How quickly can my Teacher respond?
Teacher support is an asynchronous messaging service, not live chat. You may submit requests at any time; response timing depends on Teacher availability and the current service target. The Teacher page describes the published policy. The example on this site is authored illustration, not actual correspondence or a response-time promise.

Membership and trust

The practical details families should understand before enrolling.

How old does a learner need to be?
The current self-service Scholar+ experience is for eligible learners ages 13 and older. Review Trust & Safety and the account eligibility requirements for details.
How does Scholar+ handle my child's work and information?
Learner work, AI processing, and submissions to Teachers have different access and data-handling rules. See the Privacy Policy and Trust & Safety page for current safeguards, retention details, and known limitations. We do not promise AI perfection or unlimited private retention.
What are the membership and cancellation rules?
Scholar+ offers a membership with real Teacher support included. Price, allowance, refunds, and cancellation terms are described on Pricing and in the Membership Terms. Please review them before joining.

The best learning doesn't end with an AI answer. It leaves you ready to take the next step yourself.
